I photographed wild land for the John Muir Trust, visiting Skye, Sutherland, Ben Nevis and the islands of Lewis, Harris and Eigg.
There was a requirement to photograph land looking wild and natural, which is a good thing to do. However, after some time actively avoiding any sign of human activity it does begin to feel a bit strange, especially in a country that has a lot of human history, that is not a wilderness.
